Aristeia?
Pronounce it like 'ah-ris-tay-ah'.In Ancient Greek epic poetry, the 'Aristeia' is the climatic point at which the hero has their finest moment.'Aristea' is also a genus of evergreen, perennial and rhizomatous flowering plants.The word 'Aristeia' denotes both our aspiration for artistic ascension and a desire to form a network that is evergreen, perennial and rhizomatous1.
RKGK?
Pronounce it like 'rah-ku-gah-key'.Derived from the Japanese word 落書き (rakugaki) meaning a scribble, doodle or graffiti, rakugaki is often truncated to RKGK and used to tag rough artwork on social media.The word 'rakugaki' is intended to ground our pursuit of expertise in humility and encourage an environment of true experimentation.
This seeming contradiction in terms reflects the philosophy of Aristeia RKGK; the comprehension that progress towards mastery requires the rapid, iterative improvement of imperfect forms.

Basic membership to Aristeia RKGK is free and open to everyone regardless of skill level or artistic medium. However, prospective members should align with these values:

We recognize the need for art to have the freedom to be political, transgressive or challenging.We ask that all of our members respect the rights of other members to freely express themselves, even if they disagree with the content.
ARTISTIC EMPOWERMENT
Any and all art posted via Aristeia RKGK will remain the solely owned by the creator(s).The goal of Aristeia RKGK is promotion, sponsorship and encouragement of artists.Although we encourage an atmosphere of free experimentation, remixing and collaboration, we ask that our members respect usage rights as defined by the original creator(s) of the work.

Aristeia BLACK Card
We will soon release a set of membership cards for our core contributing members.Card owners will be able to apply for funding for their projects, get access to exclusive events and get discounts on merchandise.While membership cards will be given for free to contributing members, they will also be available for purchase to the general public. Proceeds from the sales of membership cards will be used to support and fund the projects of other artists.
